A lovely, clean and spacious property. Would thoroughly recommend! James was extremely helpful. Loved the Rose and Crown Pub in the village too.
The property was superb and the location for local attractions in the area was perfect. The owner was very thorough with his instructions and assistance. The house was well equipped and very clean. Would recommend Antlers Retreat is beautiful property situated in a great area. We were 8 golfing friends, 4 couples, who like our own on suite facilities but a nice lounge and kitchen area for socialising and this property did not disappoint. All the rooms are presented very nicely with lovely touches of trinkets and fine bronze sculptures, a very warm home feeling. It was hard to believe we were in a holiday property. As golfers we had a good selection of courses to play at along with beaches and Sandringham on our day off. James the owner was extremely helpful and replied immediately with any questions we had. We would definitely like to visit Antlers Retreat again! The property looked even better than the photos! It is beautifully furnished and very well equipped and clean. James was very helpful and easy to contact throughout the booking process. It is a lovely area with plenty of places to visit. It was easy to walk to the village which had a couple of good pubs and a shop. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again. The property is well equipped, very spacious. Very clean. The annexe is a nice addition to the property. Ideally situated near enough to beaches and other attractions. Very peaceful. Perfect Beautiful house, well equipped, near a lovely village. Particularly liked the south-facing outdoor space. The house was everything we hoped for. Lots of space for 3 couples, well-furnished and equipped, easy parking, lovely walled gardens. Village is terrific. Excellent pubs and a relaxing place to pass the time. Short drive to many of North Norfolk’s attractions. All well organised and stress-free let This place exceeded all our expectations! The whole property has been done up to and is maintained with a really high standard - tasteful, spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious, it was a real home from home. The communication with the owner was brilliant, all questions were answered in the shortest time, he was welcoming and helpful. The setting is wonderful, lovely countryside views, really peaceful and quiet, but it's only a short walk to the village with shops and pubs. A selection of beaches is about 10 minutes drive away, and you are perfectly placed to explore Norfolk. We (family of 4 plus aunt and grandmother) all absolutely loved it and will certainly come back. We had a fantastic stay in this wonderful barn conversion which has been furnished to a very high standard. It was very spacious, we are a party of 2 families and there was more than enough space for us to have a great holiday without feeling on top of each other. It was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived and there were lots of nice touches like the large American style fridge and games to keep us amused. The walled garden was beautiful, unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to make the most of this, although we were lucky enough to have one afternoon/evening in the sun. We visited a local windmill where the children made bread and also Sandringham both very close and well worth a visit. The barn owner was great with correspondence, always answering emails promptly and providing lots of information. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in Norfolk and sincerely hope to be returning for another break shortly. We were a group of 7 friends from London and we had a fantastic stay. The property was absolutely stunning with everything we could have possibly asked for provided. The local area was beautiful with lovely walks and great pubs. Would recommend it to everyone and we hope to come back and visit again soon! We had a brilliant stay at Antlers Retreat as a group of 8 adults. The house surpassed expectation and was perfect for our group. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable with lots of lovely added touches, such as beach towels available for use and lots of puzzles and games available. The location was perfect - the house is very private with a lovely garden with a bbq, a short walk to the village, and an easy drive to various beaches. Highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful few days. The house really is a gem and the location is so lovely. Quiet, friendly village, close to so many beautiful beaches. We had a brilliant week, helped by the comfy beds and lovely kitchen. This property is just excellent. As a family of four we were looking for a short break over the course of the school holidays and this property in this location ticked all the boxes. As we visited in the middle of February we didn't get the best of the Norfolk weather but the property was always warm and welcoming. I think our kids were more interested in getting back to the house rather than leaving to go and visit the beaches! More than enough room for our family and I can see how a much larger group could fit in comfortably. The place was spotless and although it sits in a very traditional farm setting the modern renovation means this is a 5 star place to stay. There are many things to do all within a short drive or a walk of the location. Wide open beaches which were bracing in February would be delightful in the summer months. Small villages and towns with great eating and shopping are all close by and the jewel in the crown for us was the Rose and Crown in the village itself. Great food, relaxed and plenty for the kids to do so the adults could enjoy a drink after. We have to also recommend the Deer park next door. This will be a highlight of our trip that I am sure our kids will talk about for years to come. A great place in a great location, thankyou. The accommodation is spacious, immaculately clean and well equipped. Both times we have visited have been in the winter/spring but I would imagine in the summer the place is even more fabulous. The bedrooms are spacious and all have modern en suites and the kitchen has everything you need to self cater. On arrival the owner leaves a hamper with some wine and chocolates which is a really nice touch! This is a great venue for friends and families to explore the delights of Norfolk. The Rose and Crown pub in the village of Snettisham is a short walk and serves lovely home cooked food. They also provided us with a take away service. I have nothing negative to say about this place and no doubt will be returning for a third visit. The owner is fantastic, he really does everything he can to make your stay perfect and make you feel welcome in his home. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and guarantee you will have an excellent stay. We hired Antlers Retreat for our family Christmas holiday. We have rented many different places over the years both in the UK and abroad. The attention we received from Simon, from the moment we made our initial enquiry to the follow up email we received after we had left, was perfect. The barn itself is in a wonderful location and was the most perfect setting for a week long Christmas celebration. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious. We were all very happy and would certainly recommend Antlers Retreat to our friends and family. From the moment we decided to book Antlers Retreat the owner Simon was most attentive - answering my questions, forwarding me deals from groupon for the area, advising us on places to go. We couldn't be happier when we arrived as the retreat is just so lovely! Such a great space for the 10 of us (6 adults and 4 kids). We never felt in each other's pockets but it is perfect for family and friends to hang out. The enclosed garden is perfect for the kids - plenty of space for them to play. Snettisham Farm is also fab (about a minute walk away) - we fed lambs, chickens and goats on the farm and went on the deer safari, which at first I thought was rather expensive, but it's well worth it! There is also a playground there. Make sure you get some venison burgers or sausages from the farm shop at the park and fire them up on the BBQ! The retreat is just a short walk from the lovely pub, again, with another great garden for the kids! We spent the majority of our time in the garden as the weather was amazing but we did venture to 2 of the beaches - Hunstanton and Snettisham. Snettisham is a shingle beach so make sure you wear flip flops or shoes of some sort. I would have no hesitation in recommending Antlers Retreat and I would definitely re-book. Such a lovely accommodation and fantastic few days. Fabulous place, we have loved your home and garden. No complaints. Playing boules in the garden, and enjoying a G&T before dinner, was a lovely start to some great evenings. A truly great holiday had by all. Absolutely fabulous place. Wonderful family weekend here. So peaceful and the farm experience is great for the little ones. This place, and it's huge garden, is fantastic. We have all had a wonderful time here, the house is so comfortable and generously fitted out. Hope to return in the near future. We have had a fabulous time with friends over New Year. Terrific accommodation: warm, cosy and plenty of space. Big thanks to Simon for his friendly and prompt attention. What a great start to 2014! Would love to return. First class accommodation, real home from home. Not my home - much, much better! Loved it!! Beautiful house and fantastic location. Would love to come back in the future. Thanks to Simon for his prompt and friendly response to my emails. We have had a brilliant time in your wonderful home! Loads to do here and great places to eat. We will be back for sure! We have enjoyed every minute of our stay in your beautiful home. So many things to do and no need to travel far. All enjoyed by children, parents and grandparents. We have been to Norfolk many times and have visited all the attractions but staying here has made it our best holiday ever! We will definitely be coming back, 5 stars. Thank you for having us. We all enjoyed a most fantastic few days in your beautiful house. Peaceful, spacious, well equipped, welcoming and a place to return to again and again. Thank you so very much. Property fantastic: comfortable and well-appointed. Great position. Nice village. We had a superb, relaxing weekend in great weather. Thoroughly recommend. Lovely weekend. Very well equipped, lovely decor and great location. Would love to return. Fantastic house with loads of space and very comfortable. Garden is perfect for barbeques and toddlers, and sitting out late in the sunny evenings. Thanks for letting us stay. Perfect place to stay for a big family group. Lots of space and great for children. Plenty to see and do in the area. We will be back again. We had the most wonderful time. The house was perfect, beautifully decorated and very comfortable - a great combination - thank you! |
